Fall is in the air

The farmers almanac (which I believe) is predicting a terribly cold winter this year but right now I'm happy with this amazing fall weather we have been given.

It was Pappy Miller's turn for heart surgery this time. Since December 26th now three of your grandparents have had heart surgeries or stents.  Pappy is doing well now after a valve replacement and anurism repair. You two are very lucky to have all four of your grandparents alive - I hope you always enjoy spending time with them. What I would give right now to curl up with one of my grandparents right now and chat!!!

While daddy was off helping grandma and pappy at the hospital we took a trip to Harpers Ferry to enjoy some history and hiking.

What a fun Sunday afternoon. It might be my favorite way to spend a fall afternoon - hiking and exploring with two of my best friends!!

And of course the day was topped off with...

Always stay active. Always enjoy the fresh air. Take in and appreciate all of God's amazing artwork.

I love you both - Gods gifts to me!!!

Ranger

We met our new cousin/nephew this Labor Day weekend.

Here he is when they picked him out.

We met Uncle Jason and Aunt Jodi at Fort Frederick in MD for a picnic and Ranger meeting.

What a fun day. We walked around the fort, learned a few things and played with Ranger until he fell fast asleep.

We love him!!!

Jets and Teal Tornados

Well we started our seasons fired up and ready to run someone over!!

Teal is playing strong - 5th team out of 10 right now - happy about that.  Addy is playing her best yet. Working hard on her overhand serve - doing well with her passing and setting!!  She loves to listen to AC/AD Thunderstruck on the way to the games!!

Cade had a scrimmage and then his first
Varsity game against the Giants and they won 65-0!!  Cade had some great tackles   He was practicing hard as the backup center and feeling good.

Then one Tuesday evening I get a call from Coach Brian Horner that Cade was being loaded into an ambulance. They were running a tackling drill. Cade was carrying the ball when he got hit on the right hand side by Noah Miller and landed on his left shoulder. Addy and I followed the ambulance to Winchester hospital while dad rode with Cade. X-rays showed a broken collar bone :(

Ugh!  We were all a little heart broken at the news. The ER doctor mentioned 4 weeks and Cade held into that. He only cried at the hospital when dad mentioned possibly being out for the season.

What a strong kid!  We are still waiting to see if he will return this season. We are all pulling for him but we know he needs to be 100% to come back. God has a plan - we continue to cheer on the Jets and wait for the plan.

Busted!!!

Ha ha. So you two decided to 'google' yourself this summer and found my blog. Little smarty pants!

I didn't hide it for any real reason, just didn't tell you about it yet.

I hope you enjoy. If nothing else - know that I love you both!!

Here are two proud mommy moments from the summer

Addy worked hard a Shepherd vball
Camp. She was 9 yrs old and camp was for 11-15 yr olds. She won the 'Most Improved Player' award out of 85 girls. Woot woot!!

Cade ran with me some this summer and didn't quit even when he wanted to!!  I loves our runs together and look forward to more in the future!!
